LS9 Power!

What do you get when you take a perfectly good 2010 Camaro, add one LS9 engine, a couple extra pounds of boost and a killer camshaft? Well, if you're the Lingenfelter test crew, you get a 10.36 at over 139 miles an hour! The coolest part? This car is a 6-speed manual and, of course, still on the factory-style IRS.

Lingenfelter Performance Engineering debuted an 855 horsepower LS9-powered 2010 Camaro SS at the recent Camaro5Fest in Valdosta, Ga., when it ran an impressive 10.36 quarter-mile at 139.95 mph at South Georgia Motorsports Park. 
     
"Designing, building and fine-tuning engines to give enthusiasts more speed and power is the core of our expertise and we do it every day for the street and for the strip," said Owner Ken Lingenfelter.  "This specially prepared Camaro SS - which boasts the Lingenfelter ZR1 LS9 engine, several Lingenfelter ZR1 supercharger upgrades and a TR6060 manual transmission - is our latest project vehicle to showcase more than 30 years of performance engineering experience."
     
Lingenfelter added their balanced and blueprinted C6 ZR1 LS9 Engine Package to this vehicle, which includes:
- Lingenfelter High Flow supercharger snout front cover
- Lingenfelter LS9 Overdrive Harmonic Balancer
- Lingenfelter LS9 2.38 diameter upper supercharger pulley
- Lingenfelter custom fabricated aluminum LS9 double stacked intercooler assembly
- Lingenfelter GT9 - LS9 Camshaft
- Lingenfelter CNC Ported LS9 cylinder heads
- JE Forged aluminum pistons
- Stock GM LS9 crankshaft & connecting rods
     
In addition, the Lingenfelter LS9 2010 Camaro SS has been fitted with 16-inch Hoosier slicks; CCW three-piece aluminum wheels; a custom CORSA Performance Exhaust system; American Racing 2-inch primary headers; a 241mm billet aluminum differential with 4.10 ring and pinion gear set; and a Lingenfelter twin disk LS9 clutch system and 2-step launch controller.
