As Hannibal on "The A-Team" used to say, don't you just love it when a plan comes together? As you may know, GMHTP has been working with the NMCA to make improvements for the 2010 LSX Shootout. Included in that is the development of a new 275 radial/10.5 slick class, which has been dubbed Real Street. In addition, GMHTP has also been working with Holley to develop its inaugural LS Fest in Bowling Green, KY in September. Expect a list of classes in the next few weeks, and rules soon after. The folks at Holley have determined to make their event a separate entity, which does not compete with the LSX Shootout, but actually complements it. They have been in contact with the NMCA and fully intend to develop a cohesive set of classes and rules that will enable racers to attend both races without having to make sweeping changes to their setup in order to compete. Likewise, they are also trying to make said rules in cooperation with the Motor City Rumble. So if you are tired of running against big blocks and Mustangs, look to attend these three events in the class of your choosing. The day when there is an LS specific racing series may soon be upon us.
