CNC class underway

SAMRacing.com

In a recent trip to Houston, TX I had the pleasure of visiting the School of Automotive Machinists (SAM) to check out the new CNC class and Haas ES-5-4T Horizontal Machining Center, their other operations, and of course their killer racecars. The CNC class had been underway for a week or so during my visit, led by newly-hired instructor Tim Markoski. Tim has over 20 years of CNC experience working in Canada, Mexico, UK and all over the United States, including the North Carolina area with NASCAR teams. Tim has Mastercam and Haas experience and has taught CNC and CAD/CAM. He'll be providing students with hands-on training using this state-of-the-art equipment doing the most basic techniques all the way up to the most complicated 5th axis head porting. SAM is filled with other top notch equipment like the SuperFlow SF-600 flow bench, which they use quite frequently to test various port work.
