Most powerful n/a LS1

The School of Automotive Machinists

New for this year, the School of Automotive Machinists has retired its previous C5R in favor of a more stable LSX block, which has been bored and stroked to 433cid. The new block has allowed for a larger solid roller cam that can also be attributed to the significant gain in power over the previous combo despite using the same C5R heads and Beck sheet metal intake. At over 1,000hp this is easily the most powerful n/a LS1 ever dyno'd. Check out the video to watch the LSX scream to over 9000rpm! We expect to hear more great things from the SAM camp as they stuff the new motor and a Liberty 5-speed into its Hugger Orange racecar.
