LandSpeed Productions, aka Louise Ann Noeth, was quick to discredit blue collar folk hero Jesse Jame of West Coast Choppers for his recent achievement via his new show "Jesse James is a Dead Man." The motorcycle builder-turned-TV personality has recently been trying his hand as a stunt man on the new show, including an impressive display while evading the police (who hasn't wanted to do that) in a modified LS1 Camaro. His latest endeavor was to break the world top speed record for hydrogen-powered cars on June 16th at California El Mirage dry lake. Though the TV racer says he broke the 185mph record, LandSpeed is quick to point out that he did so without any motorsports sactioning authorities nor did he hold the "record speed" for a full mile as required. Her witty PR also attempted to fire back at James, who supposedly didn't react favorably to her insulting demeanor. "...James responded with a short crude retort that reminded this writer that vulgarity is indeed the refuge of a destitute mind."
Really? I mean, really? First of all, if you are going to attempt to be intellectual and look down your nose at somebody you should first and foremost use proper punctuation. Have you ever heard of commas? Secondly, we get it. It doesn't count. It won't be going into the book of world records...blah, blah, blah. It's just a TV show. Lighten up. Are you going to start sending out PRs warning us that the WWE isn't real wrestling? Last, but not least, vulgarity, as you called it, is a part of modern vernacular (see I can use big words too) and is the refuge of most human beings on planet Earth. Sometimes it is used as a substitute for a lack of vocabulary, but often there is no better word to convey your thoughts and emotions than the explicit. That's why even people with PhDs and MDs use curse words. Now you may have thought his response was rude and disrespectful, but judging by the tone of your PR I'm guessing you weren't the most kind and flattering either.
