Like everyone else I am wondering what will be the outcome of GM's ,and the other American automakers', latest troubles. One inspiring comment, pronounced that GM would not be filing bankruptcy. This never say die attitude doesn't seem to be a front either. Word came down today that GM's beloved Heritage Collection will soon be thinning out, as several one-of-a-kind collectible cars, including several late models we've featured in the past few months, will be up for auction at Barret-Jackson. Though on the surface this is quite depressing, knowing the value of several of these cars and how much money they stand to make, I can hardly blame GM. Sometimes when the ship is taking on water you need to jettison some dead weight. Heck, I'd rather them sell off some old Camaro then cancel plans for the new one. Don't you agree?
