Perhaps some of you have been foaming at the mouth to fill up your hot rod with E85, but have found it to be a scarce commodity. Well if you are in the vicinity of Germantown, Maryland you will be happy to know that the Town Center Chevron now carries the high octane, eco-friendly fuel. Last Friday, September 26th, the station began dispensing VeraSun Energy's branded VE85 at only $1.85 a gallon for the first 185 minutes of sales. A grant from the U.S. Department of Energy and several local organizations made the transition to the 85% blend possible in the Washington D.C. and Maryland area. Look for more stations to start carrying this blend throughout the country. To find an E85 station near you or to learn which vehicles are able to run on E85 check out E85fuel.com.
