This year's race was truly a success on many fronts. I'd like to thank all those involved from the NMCA to GM Performance Parts and all the other sponsors. The manufacturers midway was stuffed with brand new LSX parts, the crowd was buzzing about all the hot cars, and the track provided all the action one man or woman could handle. While we didn't get to see EPP laying it on the bumper again this year, as its Camaro sustained too much damage in a wheelie contest to recover prior to the Shootout, we did see three or four great wheelies from a fast all-motor Camaro out of Toronto, CA and Texas Speed's Camaro. A T-top even made a premature ejection (mid-track) from a nitrous-powered TA built by Late Model Racecraft. Great job everyone! If this keeps up, I wouldn't be surprised if we started seeing more LSX-only racing events throughout the country. Tune in to the next issue of GMHTP for full race coverage.
