My Hooptie Pt I

Today is my birthday so I'm going a bit off-topic...  

That's right GM EFIers, today I'm talking 'bout what I wanna talk about, which doesn't happen to be performance-related.

I live in Queens, NY, and with on-street parking only, if your ride doesn't get stolen, it gets beat to hell. I've never understood the other drivers in my 'hood, buying a brand new M6, AMG, etc. and then getting their bumpers totally hacked up by other drivers trying to parallel park.
Kinda funny I won't subject my much cheaper Turbo Buick or Z28 to the same fate too often, but I won't be paying huge bodyshop bills, either!

So on many days, I lean on my trusty '98 Oldsmobile to do battle in NYC. I love this car for many reasons, despite its massive mileage, turd-like appearance and awful performance. I'll post some pics tomorrow, and tell you about its legendary reliability, along with its many body-crunching collisions with NYC cabbies.
