Okay, so maybe us gas-guzzling V8 owners aren't the Solstice's target demographic. But those of us with some road course experience can certainly appreciate the little two-seater's handling capabilities. Especially when it also possesses a ballsy 260hp, direct injected, turbocharged Ecotec (in the GXP model). Upon the release of the GXP and Sky Redline I drifted that sweet independently suspended rear end on a left hand turn on a picturesquely twisty public road, nearly into some guy's living room, and I've been hooked ever since. So call me crazy, but I got excited when GM announced the release of the 2009 Solstice Coupe. With sleek new lines and a lightened waistline, it's a sure winner. They even used magnesium for the roof panel, which slims the Coupe to right around 3,000lbs.
