GMPP crate engine will roar soon

The crew at TT Performance Parts is doing the final button-up of 1SC-YA's new GMPP LS376/480 crate engine now. Visible in this pic is the Lingenfelter box, mounted on the left, needed to simplify this desirable engine swap.

So far no major hiccups have befallen my hardtop Z––we'll have numbers for you soon.

1. Caution:
I have a 2001 Camaro. The LS3 will not bolt up to the T56 transmission. The LS3 engine crankshaft sits back about ½ inch so the transmission will not fit flush with the engine block. You'll need a spacer, shorter input shaft for the transmission or different bell housing. Any comments?

2. Update:

The folks that I bought my crate engine from sold me the wrong pilot bearing. The one they sent is for an LS1 engine. The LS1 pilot bushing will fit in the LS3 crankshaft but won't allow the t-56 trans to go forward far enough. Solution? Use the smaller older style pilot bushing that fits up in the LS3 crankshaft about 3/4 further. Problem solved.
