My boss and auto rag legend Jim Campisano, editor of sister GM mag Super Chevy, has released some disturbing news on www.superchevy.com regarding a premature death of what was supposed to become the hi-po supercharged Z28.
While this deep insider info can always change, a blow like this, especially since we've waited SO long for a new Camaro to resurface, hurts bad.
Of course, we're still supposed to get a V-8 Camaro. I personally would buy even a turbo 4-banger Camaro, as long as it made decent HP. Sure, not having a torquey V-8 would be tough, but if the choice came down to no Camaro or a Camaro with boosted, small-displacement power, I'd take the latter.
This is not a good turn for our beloved GM, I hope our next bit of news is better.
