For those of you who have been following Tom Kempf's turbocharged Red Rocket as it rose to stardom at the 2007 LSX Shootout, taking the Drag Radial championship, it will come as no surprise that he is currently the fastest LS1 in North America. Following a few changes from last year's setup, including reinstatement of the 106mm turbo he was testing during his vicious wreck, Tom has gone on to run 7.51 at 191mph to become the fastest stock suspended LS1 period. Only Wheel to Wheel Powertrain's twin turbo, nitrous huffing tube chassis car has managed to surpass him. And believe it or not, he accomplished this feat on 315-series Mickey Thompson drag radials.
