Just checking in from the great state of Pennsylvania, Carlisle to be exact, where the All-GM Nats kicked off under a nervous sky. The temperature seemed just right (high 70s to low 80s), but with angry clouds lurking in the distance and a fierce wind that hit the fairgrounds around five or six o'clock many packed it in early. Given the slightly slower influx of attendees from year's past, the uncertain weather probably kept many from venturing to the Keystone state.
However, I did have the pleasure of meeting Will Langley and his ultra-rare '98 Gold Metallic SS convertible. By his records, Will says the Gold SS is one of only seven. The Maryland-native was no stranger to rare cars, also owning three LT4 F-bodies as well as a B4C concept car among others.
Tomorrow looks to be more promising with plenty more hot GM EFIs on the way, and Scott Settlemire of GM flying in to show off the "Bumblebee" 2010 Camaro from the Transformers movie as well as many fine examples from the GM Collection.
